Audio Story Thoughts

After listening to five examples of previous students’ projects, I was very impressed with their stories. They all had great transitions and the stories they told were perfect for audio.

I think the thing that makes all of these stories most ideal for audio is that they all are stories about sounds and obviously, being an audio story, it tells the story more in depth that way.

Each story is about music, or singing, or something that has great sound effects and can utilize those to place the reader in the story.

I personally favored “Douglas George Impacts Youth Through Music”

George’s voice was clear, articulate and easy to listen to. The student did a great job weaving the marching band music into the story and making transitions from it.

The natural sound was the marching band music and it was used so well in this story. It wasn’t over-bearing and was placed at just the right places to keep the story moving along.

The choice to use emotion to start the story really pulls the listener in and I liked that a lot. I liked how the story came full circle at the end, too.

You can listen to it here.
